This would become a centerpiece for any John Carpenter fan as very few collectors will ever have an authentically Janet Leigh signed original The Fog movie poster in their collection.

Sadly Janet Leigh is deceased. If you don't want the inscriptions, there are restoration companies that will remove most inscriptions from movie posters such as STUDIO C. You can google them to find out more. All autographs I got in person. This movie poster is SIGNED BY. John Carpenter - "John Carpenter". Adrienne Barbeau - Jeff, Look for the Fog Adrienne Barbeau. Janet Leigh (deceased) - "To Jeff Janet Leigh". She signed it at a very rare appearance at the Hollywood Collector show. Tom Atkins - "Jeff, My very best Tom Atkins".

Nancy Loomis - "Jeff All Best Nancy Loomis". Charles Cyphers - "Best Wishes Charles Cyphers" He signed it above the Janet Leigh Autograph. Signs of theater use on the 1980 poster includes creasing and some wear at center lines resulting in slight separation (tiny hole) in the center fold line as seen in the photo you can see white space behind the poster in the small center area. Not very noticeable and if you framed it, you would never know it.

You may have noticed it if I had not mentioned it so it's minor. Crease on the top right corner of the poster (just to the upper right of the word "see" on the poster). There is roughly a 1 1/2 inch tear on the right side of the poster starting in the white border edge. The tear does not stand up as you see in the photo I'm holding it up for the photo so you can see it as the poster lays flat. Again, if you framed the poster, you likely wouldn't notice the tear on the poster edge - See photo.

All wear on the poster is from it's original use in a movie theater as it was never meant to be saved for collectors. The horizontal and vertical fold lines are normal for 27x41 folded posters that were sent to movie theaters by the movie studios as that it how they folded them. This is NOT a reproduction movie poster but a real one sheet movie poster from 1980 that was used in a theater in the lobby to promote the film and it was never meant to be saved for collectors. 4 FREE The Fog Bonus items below - FOR A VERY LIMITED TIME. 2 Likely the only opportunity you will ever have at owning a movie photo from the John Carpenter movie, The Fog, authentically signed by Janet Leigh (Sadly Deceased) at this low price. Great behind the scenes photo (considered a 8x10 even though it's measured 10"x8") showing Adrienne Barbeau with Janet Leigh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and director John Carpenter on the set of The Fog.

John Carpenter also directed Halloween where he created Michael Myers. This photo was signed in person by both actresses.

Some wear to edges and yellow miscoloring in a small section on the upper right corner of the ad supplement cover page this affects the back of the page in the same spot and the back cover page (both front and back) in the same spot. The black one is wonderful as the back page shows posters and accessories available for the movie theater for John Carpenter's The Fog. Has cut outs on pages which was done by the movie theater who received it - they would cut out what ads they needed to use in the promotion of the film at their theater and give the cut out sections to the local newspaper for printing. 4 one Original The Fog white Pressbook Ad Supplement - Rare white.

Ad supplement featuring Jamie Lee Curtis pressed against the door on the cover page. Measures roughly 11 x 17. The white Ad supplement opens up to the two interior pages (left page is interior of front cover and right back page is interior of back cover) of various ads showing the Bolt Your Doors Jame Lee Curtis pressed up against the door marketing images. Small spot on bottom left corner on interior page (left) and on bottom right corner of interior page (right). This white Ad supplement would have been inserted into the Black pressbook marked advertising manual and is ALMOST ALWAYS MISSING from the black pressbooks so it's rare and you get it here.

Shows wear including creasing and on the back cover two small blue marks (see photos). Original folded per use by movie theater. Both show original theater wear and the black one has some ads clipped (cut out) from inside the pressbook as a FREE BONUS!!!

This is what announced the film to audiences for the first time before it was even made. Very slight creasing (mainly on the right side and top right and bottom right corner) from use as seen in the photos.

This is very similar to the Australian one sheet style so likely from Australia. And is rare as it's one of the few items that advertises The Fog production will soon begin. So this was made to promote the film before the movie was even made! And it is harder to find than the Australian one sheet and daybill posters.
