Samantha Eggar signed The Collector 1965 Movie poster half sheet Terence Stamp

BUT This has a First Time inscription that is very rare! One Original 1965 movie poster half sheet (measures 22" x 28") for the William Wyler film The Collector starring Terence Stamp and Samantha Eggar. Originally Used in a theater so it does show wear and age as expected from such use - see photos.

This includes creasing and very small edge tear on right side that is easy to miss (see photo), edge wear, etc. Surprisingly that white sticker "recommended as Adult Entertainment" is often missing from these half sheet movie posters. It's intact here and original to the piece from when it was in the movie theater.

Rare in that I had it signed by Samantha Eggar with a first time Prisoner 1436 inscription! She signed it For Jeff Samantha Eggar Prisoner 1436! When I asked her to add Prisoner 1436, she asked why. I reminded her that she signed the artwork that she gave to Terence Stamp's character in the film that way.

She laughed as she had completely forgotten she had did that. She then informed me that this was the first time she wrote Prisoner 1436 since they shot that scene for The Collector!

Very unique and a first time signature! She even added the exclamation point to it just as she did in the film scene with same emotion and she said Prisoner 1436! As she wrote it on the poster as she did in the film. You can see the scene in the movie The Collector at the one hour and 8 minute mark if you have film in your collection.

If you don't want the inscription of "For Jeff", there are restoration companies that will remove inscriptions from most posters such as Studio C. You can google them to find out more.
